Transparent pricing

How much does car transport cost?

Every quote is based on the job itself — the distance, the vehicle condition, how quickly you need it moved, and whether it crosses the Channel. No hidden fees, no invented prices.

What drives the price

We do not publish generic price lists because every vehicle and route is different. Here are the four things that shape your quote.

Distance & route

The miles between collection and delivery are the biggest factor. Local Sussex runs naturally cost less than a cross-country or cross-Channel movement. We also consider tolls, congestion zones and the most efficient route.

Runner vs non-runner

A running vehicle that can be driven onto the trailer is quicker to load. Non-runners, rolling shells or accident-damaged cars need winching, extra care and more time, which affects the quote.

Urgency & timing

Standard bookings give us the flexibility to group runs efficiently. Same-day, weekend or out-of-hours collections cost more because they need a dedicated slot. Booking ahead usually gets the best rate.

Europe & ferry crossings

Mainland Europe deliveries add ferry or tunnel costs, plus the return leg for the transporter. We factor in port timing, customs paperwork where needed, and route planning so there are no surprises.

What is always included

Our quotes are all-inclusive for the job described. You will not be asked to pay extra for straps, chocks, basic loading time or standard mileage within the agreed route.

  • Goods-in-transit insurance
  • Professional loading & securing
  • Door-to-door collection & delivery
  • Digital confirmation of booking
  • Updates while your vehicle is on the road

Common pricing questions

Straight answers to the questions we are asked most often about car transport costs.

What is the difference between a runner and a non-runner?

A runner can be driven onto the trailer under its own power, so loading is faster and the quote is lower. Non-runners, accident-damaged cars or rolling shells need winching, extra securing and more handling time, which increases the price.

What affects European car transport pricing?

Mainland Europe jobs include ferry or Channel Tunnel crossings, fuel for the return leg, port timing and any customs paperwork. We plan the full route in advance so these costs are built into one clear quote with no surprises.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Our quote covers the agreed collection and delivery, loading, securing, standard mileage and goods-in-transit insurance. You would only pay extra if the job changes after booking — for example a different address or an unexpected ferry upgrade.

How quickly can I get a price?

Most messages receive a tailored quote the same day. For the fastest response, include the make and model, both postcodes, whether the vehicle runs, and your preferred collection date.

Do you transport modified, classic or lowered cars?

Yes. We regularly move modified, classic and performance vehicles. We adjust loading ramps, strap points and ride height care to protect your car, which is reflected in the quote.
